Once again here we are with a whole New Year ahead of us.  Each year seems to fly by faster than the year before.   The New Year has different meanings to different people. Most people, I think, it means “Out with the old and in with the New”.

  Have you made a New Year’s resolution?  Do you have any idea when or how the New Year resolutions started?  I did a little research and this is what I found.   

The New Year resolutions goes back as far and the Babylonians 4000 BC.  They used the New Year to return all the farm equipment that had been borrowed over the past year.  The Chinese set the New Year as a time to “spring clean” their homes.  They would clean from top to bottom.  Sounds like a great way to start the New Year.  The Romans took count of all their goods and stock then set new goals for the New Year to come.
