THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Well folks  here we are just 8 days from Christmas. So many people are hustling and bustling to get everything done before Christmas is here.  The television is packed with commercials trying to sway you to buy the perfect something for that special someone.  The stores are packed with people trying to find that perfect gift. Christmas songs blasting on the radio, everything from "Silent Night" to "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas".  People writing X-MAS instead of CHRISTMAS on their cards, in stores windows and in the windows of their homes. It is sad to say that Christmas has also become a time in which thieves, crooks and schemers run rampant in our society. As we wonder around this season all willy nilly and haphazardly,  we must not forget the real reason for the season.  Jesus.  Jesus, rock of our salvation. Jesus, as precious as gold. Jesus,the Holy and sinless Son of God. Jesus, our good  shepherd. Jesus, who shed his life's  blood on the cross, and rose again in order for us to have eternal life. We always think of Jesus dying on the cross and rising again on Easter, but let us remember the greatest gift known to mankind even today,  the birth of Jesus. And that should be the only reason we  celebrate Christmas.

Hard Candy - Reminds us that Jesus is like a "ROCK", strong and dependable

Peppermint Flavor - Is like the gift of spices from the wise men.

White Candy - Stands for Jesus as the holy, sinless Son of God

Cane - Is like a staff used by shepherds in caring for sheep.
Jesus is our "Good Shepherd".

The Letter J. - Is for the name of Jesus, our Savior.

The Color Red - Is for God's love that sent Jesus,
and for Jesus' love in giving His life for us on the cross.

The Stripes - Reminds us of Jesus' suffering - His crown of thorns,
the wounds in His hands and feet, and the cross on which He died.

C- Is for the Christ child

H- for herald angels in the night

R- Means our redeemer

I – means Israel

S-is for the star that shone so bright

T-is for the three wise men they who traveled far

M- is for the manger where he laid

A- 's for all he stands for

S- means shepherds came.
