There are many forms of cancer, lung, breast, bone, and the list goes on and on. Cancer is an illness or condition that is caused when cells multiply uncontrollably forming a growth or tumor and destroying healthy tissue.
November is pancreatic cancer awareness month. EDC Practice Management is blogging for the month of November in honor of
James Hess. Each week we will share with you the different aspects of the terrible illness.
This week let us focus on the signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer.
The symptoms are as follows according to Mayo Clinic:
Acute: Upper abdominal pain
Abdominal pain radiating to you back
Abdominal pain feels worse after eating
Nausea
Vomiting
Tenderness when touching abdomen
Chronic: Upper abdominal pain
Losing weight without trying
Oily smelly stools (steatorrhia)
